An advanced and collaborative nursing leader is sought to serve as Nurse Manager for a multi-site radiation oncology and brachytherapy program. This role provides operational, clinical, and strategic leadership across ambulatory radiation oncology clinics, procedural brachytherapy services, and interdisciplinary care environments spanning multiple locations.

The Nurse Manager is responsible for fostering a culture of excellence in patient-centered oncology care, safety, quality, workforce engagement, and operational performance. This leader partners closely with faculty, APPs, radiation therapists, anesthesia teams, and administrative leaders to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality oncology services across the continuum of care.

The ideal candidate is a transformational leader with strong experience in oncology nursing, ambulatory operations, procedural care coordination, and change management within a complex academic healthcare environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.

  • Registered Nurse (RN) issued by the state of California.

  • Current ART certification, or BLS and ACLS at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six (6) months of hire date.

  • Current PALS certification, or must obtain within six (6) months of hire date.

  • A minimum of seven (7+) or more years of relevant experience. Experience must include a minimum of five (5) years of recent RN experience, preferably in oncology and/or procedural experience.

  • Two (2+) or more years of formal supervisory or management experience.

  • Strong clinic patient care management skills.

  • Demonstrated skills in resource management, fiscal accountability, regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, and information technology.

  • Broad knowledge of patient population served and the requirements for the delivery of services.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's Degree.

  • Oncology and/or procedural experience.

  • Ambulatory/outpatient experience in fast-paced clinics and procedural areas with vulnerable patients.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $149,700 - $297,700 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $71.70 - $142.58

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
