Receptionist I

Summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Receptionist I to support one of our office locations in Lexington Park, MD. The Receptionist welcomes visitors and callers with professionalism, responds to inquiries efficiently, and supports the Cyber and Engineering & Technical Services (ETS) sectors with administrative, travel, and procurement assistance.

This position currently requires an on-site schedule. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

This position is not eligible for The MIL Referral Bonus program.

Responsibilities

• Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories, giving instructions.
• Maintains and enforces security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges.
• Manages conference room schedules and ensures the rooms are set up and prepared for meetings.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing various related tasks as needed.
• Provides administrative assistance to sector leadership, which may include editing documents, developing briefing slides, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, coordinating and scheduling meetings.
• Assists employees with travel and expense report submissions.
• Provides assistance with receiving and distribution of received procurements.

Travel

5% travel to local sites, as needed

Required Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years relevant experience in a customer service and/or business-oriented position
• Excellent and professional verbal communication and telephone skills
• Microsoft Office skills; specifically, Excel and Word
• Willingness to administratively support a wide range of engineering and technical support projects
• Listening, professionalism, customer focus, organization and informing others, ability to understand and enforce security policy and procedures

Desired Qualifications

• College degree
• Experience working in a DoD or military environment
• Experience providing administrative support for engineering and technical projects
• Experience with travel coordination

Clearance

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $19.00 - $23.00 per hour.
