Agile Scrum Master

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Agile Scrum Master for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for optimizing the flow of stories and the value delivered by one or more Scrum teams by serving their needs to drive performance and growth. The Scrum Master will coordinate ceremonies, manage dependencies, and enable continuous improvement while promoting and coaching the Agile mindset. This position requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and facilitate Scrum ceremonies
• Manage dependencies for the team
• Provide visibility into team delivery plans and progress
• Enable continuous improvement within the team
• Ensure impediments are resolved quickly
• Promote and coach the Agile mindset and principles, empowering the team to become self-managing

Requirements:

• 5-7 years' experience in technology and working in an agile environment
• Must be SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) 5 certified, preferably SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM)
• Working knowledge of Lean Agile SDLC processes and deliverables
• Ability to lead discussions and learning sessions with 30+ attendees
• Willingness to facilitate learning and empower team members to teach others
• Working knowledge of Quality Center/Application Lifecycle Management
• Excellent proficiency and hands-on experience with Jira
• Expert in pulling reports from Jira tool
• Experience in developing and delivering education sessions
• Experience in education at all levels of management within the agile framework (portfolio, program, team)
• Experience in education and demonstrating facilitation of core agile practices including Servant Leadership, Kanban & Scrum Framework, value stream mapping, feature and story backlog prioritization and refinement, and release planning (Program Increment)
• Excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
• Process-oriented and detail-oriented
• Positive attitude and open to feedback

Desired skills:

• Scrum Master Certification
• Agile methodology, project manager or scrum master experience
• Working knowledge of JIRA
• Experience driving a shared service strategy and performance culture
• Relevant IT experience (SDLC - Waterfall/Agile) preferably within a Financial domain
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences

Pay range: $63.94 - $71.94 per hour
