Position Summary

Responsible for executing helper duties to assist the assigned crew.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Must know applicable safety rules; use basic tools and take care of the tools, be knowledgeable of fire protection.
  • Assists workers with the necessary tools, supplies, and equipment.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials and maintaining equipment.
  • Use of hand or electric power tools and pneumatic tools, and care for these tools.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment onto and off of vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient material handling.
  • Building and ground maintenance; handling trash; and assisting in the maintenance of tools.
  • Assist with troubleshooting minor problems with tools or equipment and notifying the foreman if further assistance is needed.

Qualifications

* 3-year industrial construction experience preferred

* Knowledgeable of tools and equipment.

* Industrial construction experience preferred.
