Position Description

At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a RMA Coordinator I to join the Data, Power & Control Team in Reno, NV. The RMA Coordinator I will perform basic and routine inspection of products manufactured or processed by private companies to ensure compliance with engineering specifications. This position ensures that all assigned duties are performed quickly, efficiently and according to the established departmental and company policies, procedures and goals.

The RMA Coordinator I, as with all members of the Server Technology Team, is expected to promote a positive attitude, demonstrate initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and exercise confidentiality.

What Will You Do?

    Independently perform routine tasks to inspect product.
  • Independently perform PCA/part/subassembly/finished product build and quality validation sampling.
  • Perform quality inspection audits to IPC 610A standard for printed circuit boards, soldering criteria, lead-free connections, fillet criteria, cleanliness, and failure modes.
  • Perform tests on product to determine approval or rejecting and writes report of examinations.
  • Identify and disposition non-conforming parts, assemblies and finished good products.
  • Independently perform quality audits of various types.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate physical and functional product defects.
  • Perform work in a safe manner. Report repairs or safety concerns to management.
  • Maintain compliance with all ISO regulations and procedures.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Education/Experience/Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Quality Assurance Inspector I is expected to have at least one year of experience and knowledge of PDU product and Server Technology quality standards.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in production assembly and /or test validation.
  • Ability to read and interpret orthographic drawings.
  • Familiar with mechanical measurement equipment and tooling.
  • Ability to understand and apply the elements of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple groups.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to resolve problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook).

Work environment is fast-paced, and priorities can shift quickly. All employees are expected to go outside their primary responsibilities when required, and multi-task job duties on a regular basis. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs/ladder; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk, and hear.
