The salary range for this position is: Assistant Rank - $236,278 - $311,064, Associate Rank - $285,044 - $352,095, Full Rank - $329,947 - $431,357. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation plan Application Window Open date: May 21, 2026 Next review date: Friday, Jun 5, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Thursday, Dec 31, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Division of Hematology Oncology, Department of Internal Medicine, at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, is recruiting for a full-time faculty member in the Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank Hematology and Oncology. Faculty in the Clinical X series is expected to engage in direct clinical care, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service. Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, direct clinical care, scholarly or creative activities, and University/public service. Expertise is required in classical hematology, with an emphasis on non-neoplastic disease such as hemostasis and thrombosis, autoimmune cytopenias, and anemia. Interest and ability to care for some malignant hematologic conditions is also desirable. Responsibilities include direct inpatient (with a focus on consultative service) and outpatient clinical care, teaching medical students, residents and fellows, and university/public service. The successful applicant will engage in direct patient care, teaching, service, and clinical and/or clinical and translational research. The selected candidate will have demonstrated excellence in and commitment to teaching. The division includes 37 clinical and research faculty, two associate physicians, 13 fellows (including three Hematology Focused Fellowship Track fellows), advanced practice providers, and numerous administrative, financial and research staff, and operates a large and diverse clinical and research program. The division operates the UC Davis Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center (formerly Hemophilia Treatment Center) that provides comprehensive care to patients with bleeding and clotting disorders in our region. The division is a major component of the NCI-designated UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center and has a strong presence in developmental therapeutics within the national cancer clinical trials cooperative groups. The division research portfolio is particularly broad and spans laboratory-based early translation to population sciences and health outcome. The UC Davis School of Medicine is in the top quarter of US medical schools for NIH funding and has a Clinical and Translational Science Award hub since 2006.
