DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the daily operations of multiple food service areas to help ensure meals are prepared, assembled, and delivered safely and accurately. As a Food Service Worker I, you will perform the following duties:
- Food Preparation: Assist with preparing, portioning, and assembling food items across various work stations
- Sanitation Tasks: Clean equipment, surfaces, storage areas, and work stations to maintain high sanitation standards
- Tray Assembly: Organize and assemble meal trays, verify accuracy, and prepare carts for delivery
- Communication Duties: Share job related information with coworkers and supervisors to support smooth operations
- Stocking Support: Help unload, organize, and rotate supplies in storage areas according to guidelines
- Nourishment Assembly: Prepare and label supplemental nourishment packs for residents and assist with distribution tasks

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work rotating days, including every other weekend. Holidays will be worked as assigned. This may change based on operational needs.
- Overtime and travel as needed
- Free parking!
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
