Our Opening and Your Responsibilities The Masstron Producing Organization (MTMS) designs, develops, and produces products within the METTLER TOLEDO Vehicle and Heavy Capacity product families and serves in direct support of the Vehicle Scale Strategic Business Unit which develops and implements the strategic direction of the global vehicle scale product line. This entry level position for the Fabrication team requires a safe working, detail-oriented Fabricator able to be trained in material handling with forklifts and cranes for machine operators in addition to operating and maintaining foundational fabrication machinery and tools essential to production processes. What you will do: Complete daily work from a production schedule utilizing blueprints, standard work, and work instructions. Accurately enter data into the ERP (e.g., SAP) system and ensure that inventory is accurately stated. Maintain quality throughout the process. Conduct daily preventative maintenance on machinery. Maintain stock control, pull items for orders, assist other departments, and complete other related duties as required to fulfill customer orders. Setup and operate Saw and Tumble Blast. Aid in operation of Large Brake. Handle material for Plasma Area with Crane. Contribute to facility 5S and Lean initiatives. Operate fork trucks and cranes. Perform daily activities safely. Identify and implement safety improvements. What You Need to Succeed A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment. Ability to read and interpret standard blueprints and other engineered documentation. Ability to read tape measure. Ability to understand fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques. Ability to work effectively with torches, cutters, staplers, hand/pneumatic tools, and hand tools (hammers, torque wrench, crow bars, etc.). Ability to safely operate Jib and overhead cranes. Ability to safely operate a forklift. Ability to perform quality inspections on own work and the work of others based on set expectations. Good verbal communication skills. Good problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to learn basic computer skills involving SAP, TPM and Microsoft Office. Ability and drive to meet customer quality and delivery requirements. Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment. Strong organizational skills with a focus on details. Demonstrated good attendance and punctuality record. Ability to work overtime when required (some on weekends). This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
