Hourly Pay Range:

$57.76 - $80.86 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

  • Position: Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) - Team Member Health
  • Location: Evanston Hospital, Evanston, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time (average of 40 hours/wk.)
  • Hours: Monday - Friday between 7:30AM - 4:00PM
  • Rotating on-call coverage for work related exposures and ILI symptom screenings during non-business hours
  • Required Travel: Glenbrook and Swedish Hospitals
  • Outpatient Role

Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health with the Department of Team Member Health! Under the direction of the collaborating physician(s), provides system-wide clinical leadership and direct patient care to support the health, safety, and productivity of the Endeavor Health workforce. Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats complex occupational health injuries and illnesses across Endeavor Health system. Manages high-risk and complex cases (e.g., needlestick injuries, communicable disease exposures, fitness concerns). Performs and interprets physical assessments, diagnostics, and screenings. Provides diagnosis, treatment, and referrals in accordance with APP scope of practice. Conducts fitness-for-duty evaluations, return-to-work clearances, and post-offer/pre-placement evaluations, as needed. Determines and manages temporary and permanent work restrictions. Leads medical surveillance programs (e.g., respirator clearance, TB, vaccine compliance). Functions independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, serving as a clinical resource to help drive standardization, reduce lost time, and support the health, safety, and wellbeing of Endeavor Health team members. Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of service line goals. Supports the strategic plan of the organization. Adheres to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • License: Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
  • Education: Completion of master's level program in specialty area
  • Certification: BLS/CPR certification required
  • Experience: Prior APN/PA experience highly preferred

Special Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Certified in Urine Drug Screening, Breath Alcohol Testing, and Hair Drug Screening procedures (at time of hire or within 3 months of hire)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 Years of clinical nursing experience; occupational/employee health experience, primary care, emergency/urgent care strongly preferred
