Description EmergencyRadiologist School of Medicine Faculty Position Description: The Department of Radiology at The University of NorthCarolina at Chapel Hill is seeking anEmergencyRadiologist to join the Division ofEmergencyRadiology. This position supports the department's clinical, educational, and academic missions within a high-volume academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center environment. The Division ofEmergencyRadiology provides high-quality imaging interpretation services foremergencydepartment patients at UNC Medical Center and affiliated clinical partners.Emergencyradiologists work closely withEmergencyMedicine, AcuteCare Surgery (Trauma Surgery), and multidisciplinary clinical teams to support the rapid diagnosis and management of complex trauma, surgicalemergencies, and urgent medical conditions. Division faculty are highly skilled in the interpretation of radiography (x-ray), fluoroscopy, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) performed in theemergencysetting. Faculty provide timely and accurate diagnostic interpretations that directly support acute patientcare andemergent clinical decision-making. This position follows a 7 days on / 14 days off schedule structure. Evening and overnight shift opportunities may be available, with scheduling details evolving alongside continued division growth.
