This position is Onsite. Our office is located at Concord Medical Center, 2540 East Street, Concord, CA.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 9am - 6pm PST, and to participate in on-call rotations, including weekends, holidays, and off-hours based on business needs. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

This will be on the job training and the hours during training will be 9am to 6pm PST, Monday - Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform email Review / Research / Resolution
  • Supervise Patient Access Staff with about 20 Direct Reports
  • Aid in on - call Supervisor Rotation During Weekends, Holidays, and Off Hours
  • Staff / Department Rounding
  • Develop Agenda Topics for Daily Huddles and Chair the Discussion
  • Staff on Boarding - Identify Candidates / Screen / Interview / Hire / Train / Mentor During Probationary Period and Beyond
  • Report and Work Queue Support
  • Schedule Development and Maintenance
  • Kronos Timekeeping for Staff
  • Epic Support and Training for Staff
  • Crucial / Progressive / Developmental Conversation Completion
  • Registration Support - Registration Completion and Quality Review
  • POS Collection - Collect and / or Reconciliation of Patient Payments
  • Downtime Support - Weekend Graveyard Support
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration
  • KPI Metrics Tracking and Development
  • Staff Engagement and Satisfaction

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 3+ years of medical office or hospital experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role or team lead, training, mentoring, or serving as a primary point of contact for a team
  • 1+ years of healthcare revenue cycle (registration, HIM, billing, etc.) experience
  • Ability to work onsite at Concord Medical Center, 2540 East Street, Concord, CA
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM PST, with flexibility to adjust for weekends, holidays, off-hours, and on call as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of outpatient registration experience
  • 1+ years of healthcare scheduling experience
  • Experience with and knowledge of PC applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook)
  • Union experience
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations as they pertain to Emergency Department processes and procedures

  • High degree of organizational skills, ability to set priorities, manage multiple demands, and the ability to complete tasks under strict timelines
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Ability to quickly establish rapport, motivate, gain respect, and to lead

  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $60,200 - $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
