Mid-Level Engineer

JRAD is seeking candidates for a proposal position supporting the OUSD.

This position is Pentagon, DC. Develops and utilizes simulations and models. Evaluates tools, technologies, architectures, models, and test results. Heads meetings regarding AI with external parties and internal business-embedded innovation teams. Collaborates with lead engineers to define subsystem requirements and acceptance criteria. Researches AI and financial services market conditions and assists in conducting feasibility studies to determine market demand for existing and new AI products or services. Remains fully informed on market trends and implements best practices. Configures, codes, develops and documents software specifications throughout the project life cycle. Works with integration and test teams to develop tools and methods for verification protocols and assess results..

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Ten (10) years of engineering experience
• Broad Technical Acumen: Ten (10) years' experience working across a wide range of emerging technology domains such as: AI/ML, Quantum Computing, Biotechnology, Advanced Materials, Autonomous Systems (UAVs/USVs), Hypersonics, and Cyber.
• Technology Scouting & Assessment: Eight (8) years' experience identifying and evaluating nascent technologies from academia, startups, and international sources.
• Red Teaming & Wargaming Experience: Eight (8) years' experience planning and executing red team events, tabletop exercises (TTX), or wargames.
• CONOPS Development: Five (5) years' experience developing Concept of Operations (CONOPS).
• Demonstrated ability to articulate how a new technology would be integrated into military operations-how it would be deployed, used, maintained, and supported from a practical standpoint . Military or DoW experience.
• Five (5) years' experience interfacing with Joint Staff, Military Services, and warfighters to coordinate engineering and analysis needs and analytic results.
• Demonstrated experience with military or intelligence community red teaming.
• Additional technical background in one or more of the technical areas outlined in PWS Section 5.1.1 (TS/SCI (SAP eligible).

Required Skills and Education:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in web design, computer science, mathematics, or engineering.

• TS/SCI
