In this role, you will support quality assurance and quality control processes across manufacturing operations to ensure products meet established quality standards. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to inspect products, support ISO and safety compliance initiatives, manage quality documentation, and help drive manufacturing excellence across services such as 3D Printing, CNC Machining, and related manufacturing processes. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN THE QUALITY TECHNICIAN ROLE




  • Process and support 3D model print request activities, including CAD model validation and pre-processing





  • Perform quality inspections and QA/QC evaluations of 3D printed and manufactured products





  • Support post-processing, packaging, and shipping of manufactured products





  • Track and maintain operational logs and quality documentation for internal use and ISO compliance



  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of manufacturing workspaces and equipment



  • Support compliance with ISO 9001 standards, OSHA safety requirements, and company procedures





  • Create and maintain work instructions and quality documentation





  • Gather, track, and report manufacturing and quality metrics and KPI data





  • Assist with internal ISO audits and safety audits of manufacturing facilities





  • Identify, document, and disposition non-conforming products according to established procedures





  • Collaborate with Sales and manufacturing teams regarding customer inspection plans, rejects, and corrective actions





  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and manufacturing operations as needed





  • Help maintain accurate quality records and documentation within the quality management system




WHAT WILL YOU NEED FOR SUCCESS IN THIS QUALITY TECHNICIAN ROLE

Required Qualifications:




  • Must be able to work Monday - Friday, 5am - 2pm at our Phoenix location



  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, and understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)



  • Ability to lift/carry up to 49 lbs unassisted (50+ lbs with assist)



  • Experience using calibrated inspection equipment (e.g., calipers, pin gauges, 3D scanners)



  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, Windows)



  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities





  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment





  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability for results





  • Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders





  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a dynamic manufacturing environment





  • Commitment to teamwork, safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement




Preferred Qualifications:



  • Associate degree or equivalent experience required

  • Experience or familiarity with quality inspection processes, equipment, and quality standards





  • Experience with CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS or Fusion 360





  • Experience with 3D printing technologies





  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 environment





  • Mechanical aptitude

A3D Manufacturing has determined that compensation for this role is between $20 - $22.5 per hour and will be based on knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Since we appreciate transparency, we are sharing that we expect to hire for this position towards the middle of this range (dependent on experience/location), which will allow you the opportunity to progress as you grow in your career. In addition to this hourly rate, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package, including generous paid time off, paid parental leave, company 401(k) match, and community service leave.
