The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Minnesota Duluth seeks a 75% time Instructor or Teaching Assistant Professor for a one-year term contract position for the AY 2026-2027, with the possibility of renewal. The contract dates are August 24, 2026 through May 23, 2027.

Responsibilities include: teaching academic courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, including course development and delivery; serving on committees at the department, college and/or university level; advising students including academic and research advising as well as contributing to outreach activities that support the department's mission. Successful applicants with a terminal degree will be appointed at the rank of Teaching Assistant Professor.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in speech-language pathology with a minimum of 5 years of experience or have a terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., A.B.D. or SLPD).
  • Have either successfully completed requirements for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or in process of completing the requirements for the CCC
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate a commitment to supporting equity and accessibility in higher education and community settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., A.B.D. or SLPD).
  • Experience in developing and implementing research
  • Experience in teaching in higher education
  • Experience in working with diverse student populations
  • Experience using online learning platforms and developing curriculum.
  • Eligible for Minnesota licensure in speech language pathology.
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $50,437.00- $67,250.00 per year; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 75% Appointment
