Join Koch Risk Optimization in a role that helps Koch companies make better decisions by balancing risk and reward. This position offers the opportunity to build expertise across insurance program strategy, industry relationships, procurement, claims and coverage consulting, and risk assessment while working alongside experienced risk professionals across the enterprise.

This role is not open to immigration sponsorship now or in the future and cannot support a VISA transfer.

Our Team

You will join a specialized insurance team within Koch Risk Optimization that partners with risk leaders, brokers, and commercial stakeholders across Koch companies. The team manages enterprise insurance programs and provides analysis and advisory support that informs trade-offs and helps businesses make sound risk-adjusted decisions.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand challenges, identify risk optimization opportunities, and apply analytical solutions that support business objectives.
  • Translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations that improve decision-making.
  • Lead insurance structuring, risk financing analysis, and insurance program renewals.
  • Analyze, monitor, and estimate insurance and operational risk exposures.
  • Develop and maintain risk reports, dashboards, and decision-support analytics.
  • Manage claims, loss recovery efforts, and post-event learning.
  • Provide day-to-day insurance support, including contractual risk consulting and certificates of insurance.
  • Research risk concepts and modeling approaches to develop informed points of view across a range of risk scenarios.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Interest in building expertise in insurance and risk management.
  • Experience collaborating and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain strong attention to detail, and use technology and Microsoft Office tools to improve outcomes.
  • Experience using critical thinking skills to make economic decisions.
  • Willingness to build analytical capability, including the use of mathematical and statistical methods to support decision-making.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 2+ years of experience in insurance or risk management.
  • Demonstrated use of technology to improve processes, generate insights, or create business value.
  • Proven willingness to speak up, challenge assumptions, and drive better outcomes.
  • Curiosity and a strong desire to learn about Koch businesses and expand technical and commercial capabilities.
  • Demonstrated passion for improving decisions through numerical analysis and sound economic thinking.
