Job Details:
The School of Medicine is searching for a Marketing Specialist for the Macon, Georgia campus.

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Director of Program Operations, the Marketing Specialist supports the marketing and communications efforts of South Georgia Healthy Start (SGHS) by developing, implementing, and coordinating strategic marketing and communications initiatives that advance the project's mission and goals. This position is responsible for managing social media platforms; creating marketing materials and collateral; implementing digital marketing initiatives; maintaining and updating website content; assisting with special events; coordinating the procurement of promotional materials; and providing general marketing support as needed.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations, or related field and one year of marketing/communications experience, including writing and developing collateral materials, experience with content management platforms and digital marketing tools are required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear, compelling marketing content and messaging across multiple platforms.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail to manage campaigns, assets, and deadlines accurately and efficiently.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional graphic design, web design, and social media management skills to support brand consistency and audience engagement.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to analyze marketing performance and optimize strategies.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a marketing or cross-functional team.
