Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for an IT Enterprise Desktop Sys Admin to join the team. This role is Full-time Monday - Friday working 7am - 3:30pm and would be on call for an entire week once every 14 weeks (rotating scheduling with the team's coverage).

IT Enterprise Desktop Sys Admin Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the installation of Windows end-user devices and peripherals based on a standard operating procedures and policies.

  • Identifies and resolves more complex problems with the toolset. Communicates problem-solving measures taken for inclusion into the standard operating procedures and policies so that recurring problems can be resolved.

  • Works imaging and installation tasks from a ticket queue.

  • Makes recommendations to senior team members and management for larger updates of procedures/standards to improve efficiency of the imaging, installation and configuration process.

  • Ensures that basic updates of documentation of procedures/standards on the proper imaging and configuring of operating systems software are complete and accurate.

  • Proactively identifies and implements successful preventive measures for basic issues affecting desktops, printers and WOWs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Associate degree (or additional relevant experience in lieu of degree)
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in supporting a desktop environment with both basic administration and problem resolution and Microsoft Windows seven and Windows 10 and above issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IT Desktop support experience

  • Experience working with break/fix and customer support

  • Microsoft office proficiency
