DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the Bureau of Child Support Enforcement by carrying out essential clerical tasks that help ensure child support actions are completed on time. The work supports the Division of Central Operations through careful handling of documents, data, and communication. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Document Processing: Scan assignments and email them to child support enforcement specialists following established procedures
- Data Entry: Enter assignment details into the centralized Microsoft Access tracking system to support timely reviews
- Request Review: Review and assign Requests for Assistance and Paternity Exception R607 submissions
- Petition Handling: Enter petitions into the database and scan them for distribution to specialists
- Mail Coordination: Review and distribute incoming mail to specialists on a rotating basis
- Account Management: Manage multiple email resource accounts while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
- Telework: This position requires you to report to the office full-time during the probationary period. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, you may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, working in the assigned headquarters office 3 days per week . In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. - Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment. Under Pub 1075, acceptance of a conditional offer of employment will require submission to and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to: a fingerprint-based federal records check; a PA State Police clearance; a check of local law enforcement agencies where you have lived, worked, and/or attended school within the last five (5) years; and a citizenship/residency verification.
