What to Expect

As an Associate Manager of Production Control Change, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing material handing functions for new product introduction (NPI) at Gigafactory Texas. You will lead a team of Supervisors, Technicians and take a KPI driven approach toward meeting daily operational objectives. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with inventory control, Production Control processes, Material Planning, NPI, MFE, Quality and various other supply and logistics organizations to solve problems, drive continuous improvement, and to achieve production targets.


What You'll Do
  • Manage daily operations (Changes/Trials) through Key Performance Indicators (KPI), problem solving and driving continuous improvement to achieve the KPI targets
  • Build a strong, motivated production team capable of consistently delivering high quality products against aggressive production targets
  • Create and maintain a culture that prioritizes safety, quality and cost through communication, action, and accountability
  • Develop process and ensure accurate raw and finished material inventory cycle counts
  • Implement 5s practices for warehouse and loading areas
  • Ensure production teams utilize standardized work and consistent work practices across shifts and areas
  • Conduct daily process audits to ensure compliance of the team to established standards, policies and procedures for safety, quality, delivery and cost

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with evidence of exceptional abilities in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution center environment, preferably automotive-related
  • Ability to foster and develop a strong team of material handling personnel & leaders
  • Flexibility to change assigned work shift, as the Gigafactory, TX continues to ramp the needs of production will change and this may result in a change to work schedule to ensure the business demands are met
  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment by establishing and enforcing operational standards and procedures
  • Ability to trouble-shoot and improve/drive resolution of operational issues
  • Ability to meet operational and financial targets (labor efficiency, trailer management, scrap reduction, overflow management, transaction accuracy, downtime, etc.)
  • Demonstrates integrity, enthusiasm, and team spirit with a drive for continuous improvement
