This team takes a disciplined, financially sustainable, and hands-on approach.
The Lead Commercial Lines Underwriter role combines hands-on underwriting of a highly experienced commercial lines underwriter, with enterpriselevel referral authority, strategic influence over underwriting appetite, and leadership in underwriting policy, guideline development, and quality oversight. This individual contributor works directly in support of the Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) and plays a key role in executing underwriting initiatives, reinforcing underwriting discipline, and advancing strategic priorities across the company. The Lead Underwriter also provides technical mentorship, and ensures alignment with CIC's underwriting philosophy, and corporate strategy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Currently, hybrid work environment, which requires working in CIC's office Tuesdays through Thursdays and exibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
