Overview

The US Oncology Network is looking for a Remote Regional Finance Director to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise strategy, partner closely with senior leadership, and drive meaningful business impact in a complex healthcare environment. This position is fully remote with up to 25% travel for key meetings. The schedule is M - F, 8:00am - 5:00pm; no on-call, weekends or major holidays.

What is the Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP)?

Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP): is an incentive program that typically vests over a three-year period and is tied to both individual performance and the operational success of Texas Oncology. Awards are discretionary and based on your position, performance, and potential for future career growth at Texas Oncology. Awards are reviewed and approved during the annual compensation review. LTIP awards are subject to your continued employment through the award payment date, and are governed by the written terms and conditions of the LTIP document.

What does the Regional Finance Director position do?

The Regional Finance Director serves as the senior finance leader for a significant geographic region within Texas Oncology, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and physician partners on financial performance, operational initiatives, and strategic growth. This role blends strong operational finance oversight with strategic analysis, performance reporting, and physician engagement. The Director partners closely with regional, practice, and enterprise leaders to support achievement of the longrange plan and to drive financial discipline across the region. This position has endtoend responsibility for regional Finance & Operations initiatives and leads a team of Senior Finance Managers supporting each regional division.

Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.


Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead monthly financial reporting and analytics for regional leadership.
  • Manage regional forecasting and budgeting processes in partnership with operational and clinical leaders.
  • Partner with practices and management to identify and execute initiatives that improve financial performance across the region.

Physician & Practice Engagement

  • Serve as a key financial liaison to Physicians and Practice Leadership, communicating financial results and providing strategic financial guidance.
  • Participate in Practice Board meetings and collaborate with Physician, Practice, and Operations Leadership to prepare and present financial analyses and materials.

Performance Measurement & Decision Support

  • Develop methodologies to ensure key performance indicators are identified, incorporated, and monitored.
  • Serve as a regional lead for decisionsupport tool development and performance tracking.

Capital Planning & Expenditures

  • Support the regional capital planning process, including financial analysis of new initiatives and ongoing forecasting of capital spend.

Financial Management & Oversight

  • Conduct timely and thorough analysis of practice financial results, including discounts, expense control, receivables aging, and operating efficiency.
  • Approve practice operating expense spending and oversee financial statement reconciliations and internal controls.

Business Development & Growth Support

  • Support regional growth initiatives, including product line analysis, financial projections related to physician recruitment, and acquisition activity.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a geographically dispersed team of finance professionals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, analytical excellence, and customerfocused partnership.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally to support integrated financial and operational planning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the position will have the following background and experience:

Education (Required)

  • Bachelor's degree required (Finance, Accounting, or related field).

Experience (Required)

  • 12+ years of progressive professional experience in finance or related disciplines.
  • 4+ years of people management experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Financial Analysis, Valuations, Controllership, or similar roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders and physicians in a complex, multisite environment.
  • Proven capability to manage and lead geographically dispersed teams.

Skills & Competencies (Required)

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customerservice skills.
  • Selfdirected, organized, and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Problemsolving, persistent, and goaloriented mindset.
  • Digitalfirst orientation with interest in leveraging automation and AI for process improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree (MBA or related) and/or CPA.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare services.
  • Prior experience in oncology, hospital administration, or similar complex healthcare environments preferred.
  • Experience in other multisite healthcare settings (e.g., outpatient surgery, renal care, multispecialty practices) strongly valued.
