DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will oversee highway maintenance activities and lead crews to complete a wide range of repair and safety operations. As a Highway Foreman 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Crew Supervision: Lead and guide crews in daily highway maintenance projects
- Project Planning: Organize work schedules and coordinate equipment and materials to minimize nonproductive time.
- Safety Oversight: Promote safe work practices and monitor work zone conditions
- Complaint Response: Review roadway concerns and recommend actions based on field conditions
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs and reports for work activities and incidents
- Training Support: Instruct crew members in proper maintenance methods and equipment use

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Highway Foreman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of experience in the performance of lead work or skilled tradesman duties on a highway maintenance or construction project; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania Driver's License.
