The CTS Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the safe operating condition of our Contract Transportation Systems (CTS) trailer fleet.
The CTS trailer maintenance technician is required to meet productivity requirements and must be an individual who works effectively and efficiently with little supervision.

Additional Information:

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Shift Differential: $0.50 Per Hour

This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.

Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and vendors.

* Checks and refills lubricant reservoirs, applies grease to lubricant points, inspects machinery while performing scheduled preventative maintenance
* Operate shop tools, equipment, and as many machines related to trailer maintenance.
* Make repairs and adjustments to machinery and assist in dismantling all or parts of machinery to repair or replace defective components
* Assists in CTS projects
* Assists with trailer red tag repairs to include lights, leaking hub seals, placard replacement, tire pressure systems, door repair, floor repair, alignments, brakes, liftgate repairs, pallet jack repairs, basic 12v electrical troubleshooting, basic welding, GPS installation and service, trailer heater service landing gear service and repair are the major tasks.
* Assists in PM functions as needed.
* Performs basic trailer repairs
* Understands basic electrical and pneumatic
* Perform daily tire inspections to include flat repair, mount/dismount new and used tires
* Able to maintain pallet jack, trailer jack stand, and wheel chock service and repairs
* Perform repairs to power industrial equipment, assists in rebuilding of related equipment
* Assists other departments as needed
* Maintains production equipment in good operating condition while optimizing equipment uptime to insure the safe and timely manufacture of quality powder coatings.
* Maintain reliability and operating efficiency of plant equipment.
* Conduct preventive maintenance tasks in a timely manner to insure operation of all equipment, in an efficient and safe manner.
* Support site housekeeping and safety programs, maintaining a workplace that is clean and safe.
* Participation towards completion of other related tasks and duties as directed or needed

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
