Location: Buffalo, NY
Employment Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $ 72-110k depending on exp.
Schedule: 9-5pm
About the Opportunity:
The Architectural Designer assists with the technical aspects of project design including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will ensure that buildings are safe, efficient, and meet quality standards while staying within budget and schedule constraints. The Architectural Designer collaborates with the Development, Design and Construction teams to develop and analyze building systems to ensure the integration of technical requirements into the overall design of our buildings. Field visits are necessary from time to time to monitor progress and address any challenges during construction.

What You'll Do:
* Collaborate with the Design and Construction Teams to engage in design-build efforts to balance cost and quality.
* Design and analyze building systems, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
* Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate possible improvements to technical aspects of our designs.
* Optimize building energy efficiency while balancing cost and ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
* Oversee project management for assigned scopes, maintaining accurate progress reports relative to timelines.
* Review shop drawings and provide feedback to construction teams.
* Participate in ground-up development projects, coordinating site and building design components.
* Perform field visits to better understand project elements and obtain feedback from construction teams.
* Address technical challenges during construction and recommend solutions.
* Stay current on industry trends, building codes, and sustainability practices.
* Participate and engage in the team's morning huddles used to discuss active projects, review issues or challenges, provide and share learnings with fellow team members.
* Take an active role in our company's commitment to continuous improvement and engage in the design team's learning cycles and improvements to drawings and drawing production.
* Take the primary lead in producing and detailing multi-discipline construction documents required for new construction and alterations of interior professional, medical and dental office space.
* Be expected to work effectively with the project team, be able to produce quality project submittals and manage their time to meet the expectations of the project schedule.
* Take an active role in supporting and managing design processes and work order systems that measure turnaround times, on time delivery, and touch times for various work order types.
* Coordinate with development team to support due diligence, feasibility and design for new developments.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
* Bachelor's degree in Architecture
* 3 years of experience in a professional Design/ Construction setting
What Sets You Apart:
* Being registered as an Architect is a plus. (NY, CO, FL, TX) preferred
