This position is responsible for providing expertise regarding the company Weight and Balance program and system usage in compliance with manuals, engineering data, and operational requirements. This includes oversight and ensuring compliance of aircraft operational and structural limitations in accordance with company and manufacture (Boeing) manuals. Utilizes Ground Operations background knowledge and expertise to ensure Ground Operations systems operate for effective execution of day-to-day department initiatives.

Major Job Accountabilities:



  • Make appropriate entries into the weight and balance application in compliance with the weight and balance manual and from engineering data for day-to-day operation.
  • Update and maintain training Module for the training application in compliance with the weight and balance manual for day-to-day operation.
  • Support updates to the scheduling application in compliance with company scheduling requirements for day-to-day operation.
  • Provide monthly audits of various aircraft types within external and internal systems. Maintain monthly audits for the archive process. These audits include but are not limited to aircraft weights, formulas in accordance with the manufacturer's manuals, and loading configurations.
  • Provide administration of all Ground Operations Programs to include but not limited to Weight and Balance program, Veoci, training program, catering and scheduling programs.
  • Interface and ensure a close working relationship with other Company departments (i.e. IT, Flight Operations, QA/QC, Safety, etc.) for SABLE and other system related items. This can include providing Weight and Balance expertise, sample Loadplan/Loadsheets for investigations, and manual compliance.
  • Provide support to Global Command Center, ground coordinators, Loadmasters, Special Loads, Standards and Procedures, Training, and Scheduling teams as requested by the manager/supervisor. Support includes providing SME for CG issues, envelope/limitation questions, and system features and functionality.
  • Supports management to ensure the administrative activities for the department are documented and maintained accurately.
  • Administrative duties in the Ground Operations Veoci program to include but not limited to membership, form/workflow creation, training, and departmental interfaces.
  • Ensure safe and reliable execution of the Company's Systems for Ground Operations requirements.
  • Monitor and maximize the efficiency of application utilization. Identification of bug fixes and new features to enhance Ground Operations Employees user experience.
  • Provide support and coverage for the hotline as per the schedule.
  • Provides support to Ground Operations Supervisor/Manager on escalated complex issues such as LCF WB questions.
  • Develop and create ad-hoc training for special projects.
  • Attend customer and vendor meetings as requested to act as the SME regarding WB questions, limitations, and/or configurations.
  • Apply ground operations background and knowledge in order to test and evaluate ground operations systems for feedback on functionality for the department.
  • Provide support for special projects as required.
  • Provide Alerts for planned or unplanned application outages to Atlas and vendor personnel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • High School degree required; college degree preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of experience
  • 3 years of relevant aviation experience in operations, scheduling, Loadmaster and logistics sectors required
  • Possess an excellent working knowledge of the Electronic Weight and Balance system.
  • Aircraft weight and balance certification is preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a teamwork environment.
  • Strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required, to support station operations and other special projects.
  • Office program application experience and Intermediate to advanced computer skills and other specialized applications.

Competitive compensation will be offered based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity and other factors. In addition, a range of benefits to include medical, dental and vision insurance, employee assistance program, as well as generous paid time off, and 401K contributions are offered as a part of the total compensation package.

$62,500 $84,000 USD
