THE HIGH LEVEL

The Senior Director, Service Delivery Readiness is accountable for ensuring that all customer engagements enter service delivery with precision, alignment, and integrity. Reporting to the CTO, this role owns the critical transition point between Sales, Consulting Sales Engineers, and Professional Services, ensuring what is sold can be delivered, and will be delivered as intended.

This leader serves as the final checkpoint for deal integrity prior to execution, with authority to enforce readiness standards, including delaying or restructuring engagements that do not meet execution criteria.

The role validates that Statements of Work (SOWs), customer requirements, and proposed solutions are technically sound, viable, and compliant with government contracting standards, while aligning to the strategic objectives of the business. Operating as a senior cross-functional leader, this individual drives accountability across teams with differing incentives and ensures that solutions across Networking, Collaboration & Workspace, Cybersecurity, Data Center & Cloud, AI & Data, and Managed Services are delivered as sold-with minimized risk and maximum customer trust.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Deal Validation & Execution Readiness



  • Own the validation process prior to handoff to Professional Services
  • Ensure alignment between customer requirements, proposed solutions, and Level of Effort (LOE)
  • Drive resolution of gaps, risks, and ambiguities in scope, assumptions, and pricing
  • Enforce "go/no-go" readiness standards for deal progression
  • Ensure SOWs include clear scope definition, success criteria, dependencies, and acceptance measures
  • Oversight of tools, automation and ERP migration/improvements


Sales-to-Delivery Integration



  • Lead and institutionalize structured handoff processes between Sales, Consulting Sales Engineers, and Professional Services
  • Ensure continuity of intent from solution design through implementation
  • Act as the escalation point for misalignment between sales commitments and delivery realities
  • Establish feedback loops from delivery into sales to continuously improve deal quality


Deal Governance & Contract Integrity



  • Enforce alignment with government contracting requirements, including labor categories, SOW compliance, and audit readiness
  • Standardize and scale deal review frameworks, approval checkpoints, and documentation requirements
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Contracts to ensure deals are structured for both compliance and successful execution


Risk Management & Quality Assurance



  • Proactively identify delivery, financial, and compliance risks within deals prior to execution
  • Implement mitigation strategies to prevent downstream delivery issues
  • Reduce post-sale rework, scope changes, and margin erosion through disciplined deal validation


Cross-Functional Leadership



  • Navigate complex stakeholder dynamics across Sales, Consulting, and Delivery organizations with differing incentives
  • Challenge assumptions and commitments constructively to ensure delivery feasibility without undermining sales momentum
  • Act as the neutral authority on deal integrity-balancing revenue growth with execution accountability
  • Drive alignment in high-friction scenarios involving scope, timelines, pricing, or customer expectations
  • Establish a culture of clarity, accountability, and execution discipline across the deal lifecycle


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE



  • 10-15+ years of leadership experience in IT services, professional services, or solution delivery
  • Deep expertise in SOW development, LOE modeling, and complex services engagements
  • Strong understanding of U.S. Government contracting (DoD experience preferred)
  • Proven ability to operate effectively across sales, technical, and delivery organizations
  • Experience spanning multiple solution domains (e.g., cloud, cybersecurity, networking, collaboration)
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment in high-stakes situations
  • Executive presence with a willingness to challenge constructively and hold a high bar for execution integrity
  • Security clearance preferred

  • A standardized, scalable deal readiness framework is fully adopted across the organization
  • Measurable reduction in post-sale rework, scope ambiguity, and delivery escalations
  • Improved alignment between sold and delivered margin across services engagements
  • Established credibility as a fair, firm, and trusted authority across Sales, Consulting, and Delivery teams
