DESCRIPTION OF WORK
-
This position supports the daily operations of property management and helps maintain well functioning housing sites. The role focuses on assisting with maintenance needs, resident services, and essential administrative tasks. As an Assistant Property Manager, you will perform the following duties:
- Work Orders: Prepare requests for repairs, exterminations, and maintenance activities across assigned properties
- Site Inspections: Conduct inspections to help maintain the physical condition of the properties
- Resident Services: Build strong relationships with residents and support their housing needs
- Application Processing: Handle applications, lease ups, certifications, and re certifications while maintaining accurate tenant files
- Inventory Management: Assist with fixed assets, inventory tracking, and purchasing supplies in line with policy
- Reporting: Prepare monthly reports and complete additional assigned duties
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One (1) year as a Management Aide; or
- Two years of experience in performing tasks associated with the management of multi-family housing developments, or properties owned or administered by public housing agencies; or two years of comparable business, industrial, or professional employment; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Fayette County. If no eligible candidates who live within Fayette County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
