Add to Favorite Jobs Email this Job The Department of Pathology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time, non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator to serve as Director of Gastrointestinal Pathology, at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor. Candidates must demonstrate diagnostic excellence in gastrointestinal pathology and have subspecialty fellowship training or highly focused experience in this area. In the Director role, the successful candidate will also demonstrate well-documented leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills. In addition to expertise in gastrointestinal pathology, candidates may have diagnostic experience or scholarly interests in other areas of pathology, including molecular pathology, computational pathology, or other surgical pathology subspecialties. A record of scholarly activity in gastrointestinal pathology and/or one or more related areas is expected. The selected faculty members will play a key role in the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows within the division. The Feinberg School of Medicine offers outstanding opportunities for translational research, and candidates with interest and experience in experimental pathology are especially encouraged to apply. Qualified candidates will hold MD or MD/PhD degree and be board certified in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. Eligibility for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Illinois is required. Fellowship training or substantial experience in gastrointestinal pathology is required, and fellowship training in additional surgical pathology subspecialties is viewed favorably. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled. The expected base pay range for this position is $543,020 - $650,862. Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
