Pool Bartender (Seasonal)

Overview:

To serve the guests and ensure their complete satisfaction with our pool and bar area.

Responsibilities:

• Have full knowledge of all menus and beverage menus.
• Have full knowledge of responsible alcohol service.
• Proper setup and breakdown of area and service station.
• Provide the highest quality guest interactions - be pleasant, friendly and polite to everyone.
• Keep working area neat and clean.
• Multi-task several guests and duties at once, maintaining the highest levels of service.
• Take food and beverage orders from guests.
• Enter in orders to the computer ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage walk-up and seated guests appropriately.
• Prepare beverages for Water Horse Pool Bar servers from printed tickets.
• Clean floors and bar area each night.
• Prepare beverages quickly and efficiently, following written and visual standards.
• Follow service standards and best practices at all times.
• Complete bar and lobby set-up and breakdown side-work.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.

Qualifications:

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for up to eight hours a day.
• Ability to bend and reach above head holding up to 10 pounds frequently

• Minimum 1-2 years bartending and serving experience, high volume & pool/casual environment preferred.
• Must have full knowledge of menus, liquor, beer, cocktails and any other pertinent information.
• Must have strong communication skills speaking with enthusiasm, and comfortable talking and interacting with guests in a pool environment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have problem solving abilities, be self motivated and organized.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must have an unexpired Food Handlers and TABC certification.
• Must have full knowledge of the floor plan, table numbers, and labeling system as outlined in training.
• Must be able to work under moderate supervision.
• Must be flexible with schedules including weekends and holidays.
• Must be familiar with a service bar atmosphere combination with bar.
