Job Summary

The Security Systems Engineer designs, develops, recommends, configures, and validates integrated security systems and physical control solutions to protect confidential data, systems, and information assets. This role provides technical engineering support for security systems, evaluates information-related risks, and partners with stakeholders to translate security and business requirements into effective technical designs. The position requires independent judgment, advanced technical knowledge, and the ability to support complex assignments while guiding less experienced staff as needed.

Job Responsibilities




  • Design, develop, and recommend integrated security system and physical control solutions.



  • Provide technical engineering support for security systems and information risk management solutions.



  • Partner with stakeholders to translate security and business requirements into technical designs.



  • Configure, validate, and test secure systems, products, and physical controls.



  • Identify security weaknesses and recommend appropriate corrective actions.



  • Analyze complex situations and data to determine effective methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.



  • Establish goals and work plans to meet assigned objectives and schedules.



  • Recommend policy or process changes that may impact assigned teams or functions.



  • Provide technical direction, leadership, training, and guidance to less experienced staff.



  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, senior leadership, and stakeholders on sensitive or complex matters.




Job Requirements




  • Advanced knowledge of integrated security systems, physical controls, and information risk management practices.



  • Ability to complete complex and difficult assignments with limited oversight.



  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.



  • Ability to work independently and determine methods and procedures for new assignments.



  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to gain alignment in sensitive or complex situations.



  • Knowledge of assigned products, business functions, service policies, and procedures.



  • Ability to provide guidance to nonexempt personnel and less experienced team members.




Education




  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.




Work Experience




  • 8 or more years of related experience required.
