Nature of Work: Supervise the personnel and coordinate operations of the GIS Mapping group performing Geographical Information System mapping, applications programming, data management, surveying, and buried utility locates for all utilities, roads, parking, sidewalks, structures and landscaping located on the MU Campus and adjoining farms. Key Responsibilities: Daily supervision and scheduling of the GIS Mapping group. Monitor personnel performance, priorities and strategic initiatives for the GIS Mapping group. Coordinate technology utilized within the group. Updating existing Geographic Information System (GIS) data with changes being made to campus facilities, utilities or grounds. Create tracking of new resources and plant. Provide specialty maps, analysis, information and reports using GIS as a tool. Obtain needed data through Global Positioning System (GPS) and surveying equipment. Assist department personnel in the monitoring, reporting and utilization of department data metrics. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervision Received: Administrative and functional supervision is received from designated supervisor. Receives oral and written instructions daily on work to be performed, occasionally supplement by diagrams and/or blueprints. Shift
7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Four years documented experience with Geographical Information Systems. Knowledge and experience using ESRI ArcGIS Software. Professional certification from ESRI ArcGIS. Must possess a valid driver's license, which will allow legal operation of a motor vehicle in the State of Missouri. Anticipated Hiring Range
