CMA/LPN Supervisor



This position will work full time at 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday.


This role will predominantly work in a clinic setting.

Job Summary
The CMA Supervisor will assist the Department Director/Manager in the development, organization, and implementation of the department's day-to-day operations, reflecting a commitment to Prevea Clinic's mission, vision, and values. Has responsibilities for staffing and personnel development, quality improvement, customer service, and department planning. Sets the standard for patient work up, following provider protocols and is responsible for assuring the provision of optimal patient care on an ongoing basis.

What you will do



  • Performs full range of leadership responsibilities which include, but is not limited to; interviewing, hiring, coaching, and developing employees; managing performance and any performance issues; planning, assigning, and directing work; encourage innovation, teamwork, fiscal responsibility, high-quality work, and a positive/productive work environment.
  • Analyzes and recommends changes in department processes, systems, and procedures to increase efficiencies in the department. While also implementing solutions to improve department functions.
  • Act as liaison for providers, providing professional nursing care under supervision, assists in patient scheduling, triage, prepare and inspect patient charts, greet and room patients and prepare them for examination as needed.
  • Supports clinic wide customer service initiatives and serves as a customer service role model. Reviews customer satisfaction data with physicians and staff, and assists in identifying opportunities for change and improvement. Responds to customer complaints in a timely manner according to the Quality Resources Policy.
  • Supervise the purchasing of supplies and recommends equipment purchases required for the daily operations of the department within budgeted parameters.
  • Plans and coordinates all necessary services with staff and other departments to meet patient needs.


Education Qualifications



  • Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program or Practical Nursing program. Required


Experience Qualifications



  • 3-5 years Experience as a medical assistant in a healthcare setting Required
  • 1-3 years Leadership experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications



  • Minimum of 160 hours of direct patient care experience as a MA/LPN obtained through professional MA/LPN work experience or completion of student clinical rotations. Required
  • Current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant Preferred
  • Current clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse Preferred
