Job Description

Position Summary:

As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will support the engineering team in improving manufacturing processes and ensuring product quality standards are met. You will work closely with senior engineers to assist in various projects related to process optimization, troubleshooting, and efficiency enhancement in a manufacturing environment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in analyzing and improving manufacturing processes to optimize production efficiency and quality.
  • Conduct research and provide suggestions for process improvements to reduce waste and increase productivity.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues related to equipment, production lines, or processes.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to production metrics and process performance.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Help with the design and development of manufacturing layouts.
  • Support quality control initiatives and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in root cause analysis of production problems and suggest corrective actions.
  • Provide support in equipment calibration, testing, and optimization to improve production line reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, techniques, and equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering design tools is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm to learn and contribute to engineering projects.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with manufacturing simulations.
  • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma.
  • Hands-on experience with machine tools or production equipment (internships, projects, or coursework).

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $23.00 to $23.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 0 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
