Your Job

Molex is seeking a dynamic, proactive, and experienced Segment Finance Lead to support our Optoelectronics segment (OptoE) within Molex. This role will drive business unit initiatives across a wide range of activities.

This position can work from our Lisle, IL headquarters or downtown Chicago office. We are in office five days a week.

Our Team

The Optical Solutions Business Unit (OSBU) designs and manufactures products that use the power of light to create advanced optical connections and electronics used for AI computing and networking applications by hyperscale and datacom customers such as AWS, Google, Nvidia, Meta, Alibaba, Bytedance and others. This business is currently experiencing significant growth as part of the broader Artificial Intelligence ecosystem.

What You Will Do

  • Lead OptoE Finance in all aspects owning and helping to deliver the financial performance of the segment
  • Establish finance as a trusted resource within OptoE
  • Partner with key stakeholders to provide critical insight and support business decisions
  • Ensure strong financial reporting & leverage shared/corporate resources to focus on comparative advantage (GBS, FP&A, etc.)
  • Encourage economic thinking and PBM culture through all deliverables and communication
  • Learn the business to be able to clearly articulate OptoE's performance & strategy across various levels of the organization
  • Develop and grow team members as a direct supervisor with Koch principles of supervisor responsibilities

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Progressive experience in Finance, Corporate Development, or Cost Accounting with demonstrated ability to improve process and business results
  • Prior experience at a manufacturing company with exposure to manufacturing variances

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting
  • 7+ years of experience in Finance, Corporate Development, or Cost Accounting
  • Experience supporting a business unit or segment finance function with direct partnership to operational or commercial leaders
  • Strong system skills to access information across many platforms (SAP, BW, OneStream, etc)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office capability

    • Firm grasp of finance and accounting fundamentals
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Able to build relationships with team members and internal customers
    • Ambitious - exhibits potential for growth and ability to take on increased responsibility over time

    For this role, we anticipate paying $120,000- $160,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
