Qualifications EDUCATION Bachelor's degree required in health care related field. EXPERIENCE 1. Five (5) years of progressive clinical experience performing complex neurodiagnostic procedures in newborn/neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patient populations within the hospital, EMU, ICU and/or outpatient setting required. 2.Two (2) years clinical preceptor/supervisory and/or leadership experience required in clinical neurophysiology or related fields including but not limited to electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potentials (EP), Intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM), long-term monitoring (LTM), nerve conduction studies (NCS), and/or polysomnography (PSG). LICENSURE 1. Current BLS certification. 2. Must hold two (2) of the following credentials in neurodiagnostic technology / clinical neurophysiology which can include but is not limited to: REEGT*, REPT*, CLTM*, NA-CLTM*, CNIM*, CAP*, CMEG*, RNCST**, RPSGT***, and/or DABNM**** a. *ABRET (Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation) b. **AAET (The Nerve Conduction Association) c. ***BRPT (Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists) d. ****ABNM (American Board of Neurophysiologic Monitoring) SPECIAL SKILLS Demonstrated sound judgment and complex decision making, critical thinking, ability to motivate and supervise others. Proficiency with use of databases, office software, and performance metrics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and strategize. EMR experience required (Epic preferred). PHYSICAL DEMAND While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. They are occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. They must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. They are occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
