THOR Solutions is actively seeking a highly motivated
expert-level Marine Mechanical Engineer with experience in shipboard auxiliary systems to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG)'s Ship Design Team in
Baltimore, MD. An ideal candidate will have prior experience with design, optimization, and integration of marine auxiliary and piping systems, ship machinery integration, cargo handling systems, and weight handling systems calculations and analyses, as well as familiarity with U.S. Federal or commercial shipbuilding programs, standards, and regulations.
This is a part-time position, anticipating approximately 10 hours per week. Typical Responsibilities:
Location: Full remote permitted from most CONUS locations, or work onsite at USCG SFLC in Baltimore, MD. Travel:Travel is not anticipated for this position. Typical Physical Activity: Primarily desk/computer work in an office environment. May involve: repetitive motion. Typical Pay Range: The anticipated pay range for this position in the identified location(s) is $81 - 91/hour. Actual compensation offered will be based upon individual factors including education, qualifications, and experience. Eligibility for a SECRET Security Clearance is Required: This position requires eligibility for a Secret security clearance, to be obtained after hire.
