Responsibilities

The HR Manager is responsible for leading and executing strategic and operational HR initiatives within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with executive leadership, operations, engineering, quality, and production teams to drive organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, employee engagement, compliance, talent acquisition, and performance management for a non-union employee population.

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience supporting manufacturing operations, employee relations, compliance, leadership coaching, and workforce development within highly regulated industrial environments. This positions also has two direct reports that will help to support the Fullerton HR team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with operational and business objectives.

  • Coordinates weekly non-exempt payroll, managing timecards in workbrain and preparing/reviewing payroll files. Coordinates exempt monthly payroll file.

  • Lead workforce planning initiatives to support production schedules, staffing needs, and organizational growth.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices that support operational excellence and employee engagement.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to leaders on employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and change management initiatives.
  • Lead and conduct employee relations investigations involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, workplace misconduct, and policy violations.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on performance management, corrective actions, conflict resolution, and employee development.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, EEO, and wage and hour regulations.
  • Support and reinforce a positive, respectful, and compliant workplace culture across a non-union workforce.
  • Partner with Safety and Operations teams to maintain compliance with workplace safety standards and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions across manufacturing, engineering, quality, maintenance, and operations.
  • Develop talent pipelines and retention strategies for skilled manufacturing and technical roles.

  • Lead onboarding, employee engagement, and retention initiatives to improve workforce stability and employee experience.

  • Support succession planning and leadership development efforts across departments.

  • Manage performance evaluation processes and support leadership with coaching and employee accountability initiatives

  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.

  • Analyze HR metrics including turnover, absenteeism, staffing trends, and employee engagement data to support business decisions.

  • May perform other duties as assigned or within scope.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate Human Resources discipline (or other) and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Experience influencing at all levels and developing an internal network to gain support for HR initiatives.
  • Demonstrated strategic orientation, business acumen, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, problem solving and conflict resolution experience.
  • Experience with navigating cultural and business sensitivities to champion performance, and employee engagement.
  • Must have personal integrity, exceptional communications skills, and the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Prior Human Resources Management experience is preferred.
  • Workbrain experience is preferred.

Manufacturing experience required, preferred in Aerospace but not required.

The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation. The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000.
