Description

Safely performs all duties associated with the testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspection of electric substation equipment and facilities, which often requires extensive travel. Responds to emergencies, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, after hour calls, and customer complaints. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High school education with an Associate Degree in Electrical Technology.
  • Requires a strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to perform all the essential functions required of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
  • Required to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in United States, no sponsorships considered.
  • Subject to Pre-employment Drug Testing Policy and Background Check.
  • Must successfully complete the applicable Apprenticeship Training Program.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Qualified Substation Electrician strong in mathematics, skilled in control scheme and protective relay testing with a strong understanding of three phase electrical theory, and a background in electrical substation and associated equipment.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with good written/oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to exceed the needs of the customer and grow the Company's regulated and non-regulated businesses.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Promotes all products and services sold by the Company.
  • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
