JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Professional Personnel Development Center (PPDC) at Penn State is seeking a part-time Instructional Designer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of online learning experiences for career and technical education (CTE) professionals and workforce development stakeholders across Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will collaborate with PPDC staff and subject matter experts to design and improve curriculum, develop instructional materials, and support course delivery within the Canvas Learning Management System. Responsibilities include creating engaging learning activities, ensuring instructional quality and accessibility, organizing course content, and assisting with the implementation of best practices in online teaching and learning. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with instructional design and curriculum development Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field (master's degree preferred) A current resume or curriculum vitae A brief cover letter outlining their qualifications and relevant experience related to instructional design, curriculum development, and Canvas course development Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
