Director, NTU Food Research Systems

Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, one of the worlds leading universities, is seeking a visionary leader to serve as Director of NTU Food Research Systems (NTU-FRS). This role presents an exceptional opportunity to lead NTUs university-wide food research platform, which is recognised nationally and internationally for its leadership in food security, safety, and sustainability.

NTU-FRS is NTUs integrative research platform spanning food production, nutrition and safety, circular agri-food systems, and emerging food technologies. It hosts major national initiatives including the Future Ready Food Safety Hub (FRESH) and the Singapore Agrifood Innovation Lab (SAIL). NTU-FRS also collaborates with leading organisations such as the WHO and the Singapore Food Agency. Collectively, these initiatives position NTU-FRS as a leading ecosystem delivering science-based solutions towards Singapores food resilience agenda and the wider region.

The successful candidate is expected to be an internationally renowned scholar in food science, nutrition, food safety, or a closely related field, with a distinguished record of scholarship and competitively funded research. The ideal Director will also need to be a determined and inclusive leader who provides strategic academic leadership and coordinated oversight of NTUs university wide food research efforts. The candidate will be expected to inspire research excellence, drive interdisciplinary collaboration, champions translational impact, and further strengthen NTU-FRSs position as a national and global hub for food-related research and innovation.
