Title: Unit Manager - Quality Assurance $73,382.40 - $109,428.80 / Posted Thru: 6/5/2026 Location: Hybrid - Must work in Lansing and Live in the state of Michigan Purpose: The Quality Assurance (QA) Unit Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for quality assurance, fiscal oversight coordination, compliance monitoring, and cross-project alignment activities within Michigan's Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). This role will serve as a key liaison between RHTP leadership, contracted vendors, subrecipients, and QA Analysts to support effective implementation of funded initiatives, strengthen accountability, and promote alignment across projects and regions. The QA Unit Manager will oversee processes that support compliant financial management, performance monitoring, reporting integrity, and continuous quality improvement in partnership with contracted financial management vendors. The position will help ensure adherence to grant requirements, federal and state regulations, procurement standards, invoicing protocols, and programmatic expectations. In addition, the QA Unit Manager will supervise or coordinate the work of QA Analysts who will review funded initiatives across the state to identify opportunities for collaboration, reduce duplication, and strengthen alignment among partners implementing similar projects or strategies. This includes facilitating shared learning opportunities, connecting organizations with complementary goals, and promoting consistency with statewide RHTP priorities and transformation objectives. Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications/Requirements: Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major. Experience: Experience in grant management, quality assurance, compliance monitoring, healthcare administration, public health programs, or financial oversight. Knowledge of federal grant requirements, including 2 CFR 200 and subrecipient monitoring principles. Experience coordinating with vendors, contractors, or external partners. Experience leading teams and supporting cross-functional collaboration. Important Skills and Characteristics:
Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Position requires the use of a laptop. This position is occasionally required to transport a laptop, audiovisual equipment and brochures. This position may require some very limited travel. RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS: Will supervise and coordinate the work of others.
