Position Description Position Summary The Assistant Facility Security Officer supports the Facility Security Officer in administering and maintaining the organization's security program. The role involves personnel security, classified information protection, regulatory compliance, security training, and coordination with government agencies and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing employee security clearances and access authorizations.
- Process visit requests and maintain security records.
- Monitor compliance with security regulations, including NISPOM requirements.
- Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and annual training.
- Support internal security audits and self-inspections.
- Maintain personnel security files and classified document accountability.
- Coordinate with government security representatives and customers.
- Track reportable incidents and eligibility changes.
- Prepare reports and maintain security databases and documentation.
- Assist with facility inspections and security assessments.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.

- Knowledge of security clearance processes and government regulations.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree often preferred).
- Experience in personnel security, industrial security, or government contracting.
- Security clearance eligibility; Secret Clearance required
- FSO training or certification may be required or obtained after hire.
