General Description of Duties:
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator 3 is responsible for coordinating all warehouse operations, including incoming and outgoing shipments for both finished goods and raw materials. This role oversees shipping activities, inventory accuracy, and SAP transactions while ensuring efficient warehouse operations and compliance with transportation regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in shipping, receiving, and/or warehouse operations
- Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, and general carrier transportation regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Accurate data entry skills and SAP experience required
- APICS, Lean, or 5S experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and experience handling freight movement
- Forklift certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage outbound shipments
- Communicate shipment schedules and status updates with Sales and management; often serves as the primary point of contact for shipping and receiving activities
- Package and label shipments according to customer specifications and company standards
- Review shipping documents for special instructions and select appropriate carriers based on package size, weight, and routing requirements
- Receive and verify shipments against purchase orders using SAP
- Unload, inspect, receive, and stock incoming supplies and materials; verify orders for accuracy and damage
- Ensure hazardous material labels and packing slips are compliant and properly documented
- Assist with daily truck unloading and warehouse operations as needed
- Cross-train across warehouse functions and provide coverage in multiple warehouse roles
- Store supplies and materials in designated rack or floor locations
- Deliver materials and supplies to requesting departments as needed
- Perform monthly and quarterly inventory control activities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of shipping, receiving, and storage areas; support 5S initiatives
- Verify and sign for incoming deliveries
- Assist in training warehouse personnel, including counters and packagers
- Support other departments with shipping and delivery-related inquiries
- Assist with after-hours deliveries or pickups when necessary
- Perform other related duties as assigned
