Primary Purpose:
Oversees daily operations of workers' compensation case management, ensuring team adherence to established processes and timelines. Supports staff development and fosters collaboration to achieve efficient claim resolution and compliance.


Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Supervises daily operations of workers' compensation case management team.
  • Assigns cases and monitors workload distribution among staff.
  • Ensures compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provides coaching and performance feedback to team members.
  • Reviews routine claims for accuracy and timely processing.
  • Coordinates training for new hires on standard procedures.
  • Communicates operational updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Addresses escalated employee concerns regarding claims.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:



  • Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Typically requires 3 years of related experience.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Case Management and Investigation - The process an organization uses to handle, route, resolve, and report on conflicts or issues.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Ensuring an organization's adherence to laws, regulations, guidelines and specifications relevant to its business processes.
  • Risk Management - Identifies, evaluates and manages risks by developing and implementing risk management strategies, frameworks, policies, procedures and practices.
  • Litigation Management - The act, process, or practice of settling a dispute in a court of law.
  • Technical Reporting - The creation of detailed and clear reports documenting technical findings, incidents, and resolutions, often including data analysis and recommendations.
  • KPI/Metric Monitoring - The monitoring of performance indicators that demonstrate how effectively a company is achieving key business objectives.
  • Vendor Management - Overseeing relationships with key vendors and partner organizations that deliver products, services, and support to the business. Negotiating and managing contracts with key service providers to ensure service levels are set appropriately and met on an ongoing basis.
  • Documentation and Records Management - Creating, distributing, using, maintaining and disposition of recorded information maintained as evidence of business activities and transactions.
