Are you looking for an opportunity to flex your technical skills as part of an engineering design team developing digital architecture? The Modeling, Analytics, and Simulation Sciences (MASS) Operation is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer to support our customers at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is a rapidly growing field in the Department of War and Intelligence Communities. As a member of our engineering team, you will work alongside engineers and software developers to develop authoritative engineering models that contribute to our nation's defense. The position is on site (no remote/hybrid) and is located in Beavercreek, OH. Responsibilities:
- Provide operations and maintenance for the customer's MBSE analytic modernization environment.
- Use Systems Engineering principles and approaches to solve complex problems.
- Produce and present technical documentation and artifacts.
Requirements:
- At least a Top-Secret clearance. Ability to obtain SCI eligibility.
- BS degree in systems engineering, Aerospace, or related technical field.
- Ability to use systems thinking to solve complex problems.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and approaches.
- Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, IBM Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect).
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment, including internal staff, external contractors, and government customers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce and present technical documentation and artifacts.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SysML for modeling architectures and system behaviors.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain models, artifacts, and integrated datasets for complex systems and systems of systems.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages, including Java, C++, or Python.
- Experience with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), or other architecture frameworks.
- Ability to analyze architecture and engineering data to solve complex problems, recommend solutions, and improve products and processes.
- Knowledge of aerospace/defense systems and processes.
- Knowledge of modeling and simulation (M&S) tools and practices
Certifications: Applicable Certifications include but are not limited to any of the following:
- Industry related certification a plus!
