Department OverviewJoining the Motorola Solutions Legal Department offers the opportunity to support public safety and commercial entities in securing essential products and services for critical moments. Our legal functional teams-ranging from procurement managing vendor relationships, to software legal evaluating new offerings, to pre-sales negotiating customer agreements and post-sales ensuring project completion on time and within budget-proactively support and facilitate the company's strategic business objectives and innovation.Within this ecosystem, the Labor & Employment team focuses on the foundation of our success: our people. Partnering closely with Human Resources and business leadership, the L&E team advises on complex workplace matters, shapes inclusive policies, and ensures regulatory compliance. Job Description Reporting to the Lead Counsel - Labor & Employment Law, the Labor & Employment Law Attorney will provide day-to-day legal counsel on a company-wide basis and work closely with our Human Resources department (HR) to ensure complete compliance in our employment practices. This role will be charged with monitoring relevant federal and state statutes and regulations, updating company employee policies and handbooks, counseling the HR functional teams on issues relating to payroll, benefits, and complaints. This position will work actively with internal clients and the business as well as human resources and requires the ability to travel and work extended hours when necessary. Target Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000 USD Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
