THE POSITION

The General Government (GG) and Conservation and Environment (CE) Deputy Delivery Center Information Security Officer serves as the operational second-in-command to the Delivery Center Information Security Officer and supports the management of the cybersecurity program, policies, procedures, and operational security services. The position helps translate strategic direction into day-to-day execution for the agencies and boards supported by the Delivery Center, strengthens continuity of leadership, and advances a risk-based security program aligned with Commonwealth policy, enterprise direction, and agency business needs. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role supports the management and daily operation of a comprehensive cybersecurity program that serves multiple agencies within the Delivery Center. It helps carry out strategic direction, strengthens program consistency, and promotes effective operational security. As a Deputy Delivery Center Information Security Officer, you will perform the following duties:

  • Program Oversight: Support daily cybersecurity operations and ensure consistent application of program activities
  • Risk Management: Assist with assessments, reviews, and analysis of risks, vulnerabilities, and required actions
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Work with technical teams, agency staff, and vendors to support security initiatives and issue resolution
  • Security Compliance: Help maintain adherence to regulatory, legal, and policy-based security requirements
  • Operational Support: Provide guidance, track priorities, and assist in incident response and follow-up actions
  • Reporting Activities: Prepare summaries, dashboards, and updates to keep leadership informed of risks and program status

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, three days in office, two days telework. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Eleven years of professional information technology experience; or
  • Seven years of professional information technology experience and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must have five or more years of experience supporting information security, cybersecurity, IT risk management, IT compliance, IT audit, security operations, or closely related information technology functions.
  • You must have five or more years of experience coordinating projects, assessments, audits, remediation activities, or cross-functional initiatives involving technical and business stakeholders.
  • You must have five or more years of experience interpreting and applying policies, procedures, standards, and compliance requirements in an operational environment.
  • You must have five or more years of experience preparing reports, summaries, metrics, recommendations, or other documentation for management review.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualification (not required):

  • ITIL Foundations certification

  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
