The Global Program Associate plays a key role in supporting the implementation of Victory Institute's international programming. This position contributes to the coordination of global initiatives, supports research and communication efforts, and assists with grant reporting and administrative processes.
This is an excellent opportunity for somoene who is highly organized, detail-oriented and interested in global LGTBQI+ political participation, international cooperation and program implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Programmatic Responsibilities
- Support the planning and coordination of a regional conference in Latin America and the Carribbean (2027)
- Assist in the delivery of trainings for LGBTQI+ political leaders globally
- Provide support to research projects, including light editing and formatting of materials
- Help draft and edit short content pieces (blogs, website updates, communications materials)
- Support the visibility of program results through basic communications tasks
- Contribute to day-to-day program implementation and team priorities as needed
Grant Reporting and Data Management
- Help organize and track programmatic and financial information for grants
- Support the preparation of reports by compiling updates and basic data from partners
- Assist with maintaining organized records and documentation for projects
- Conduct basic research and data entry to support program activities
Administrative and Operational Support
- Coordinate scheduling for meetings, including internal and external calls
- Draft and respond to routine emails and inquiries
- Support day-to-day team coordination, including note taking and follow ups
- Help organize files, templates and internal systems to keep information accessible
- Assist with logistics for events, trainings and travel arrangements
Organization-wide Responsibilities
- Participate in team and all-staff meetings
- Collaborate with other teams on cross-organizational initiatives and events
- Provide logistical and coordination support for major convenings and organizational activities
- Support general organizational priorities as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in international relations, political science, public policy or a related field
- Fluency in Spanish
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Proactive attitude, with willingness to learn and take initiative
- Interest in international work and global programs
- Proficiency in MS Office and virtual collaboration tools
Preferred
- Experience supporting grants, reporting or compliance processes
- Experience with research, editing or communications
- Familiarity with LGBTQI issues, democracy or political participation
- Additional languages are a plus
