Job Summary

The Endpoint Protection Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing endpoint security solutions that protect enterprise systems, data, and infrastructure from cyber threats. This role provides technical leadership in the development and support of integrated security solutions, ensuring that security controls align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and organizational security standards. The ideal candidate possesses extensive cybersecurity experience, strong endpoint protection expertise, and the ability to analyze complex security challenges while providing strategic guidance to stakeholders and technical teams. This position works closely with security, infrastructure, engineering, and client teams to identify risks, implement controls, and strengthen the organization's overall security posture.

Job Responsibilities



  • Design, implement, configure, and maintain endpoint security solutions across enterprise environments.
  • Develop and support integrated security controls that protect systems, networks, applications, and sensitive information.
  • Analyze security requirements and translate business needs into secure technical solutions.
  • Configure, validate, and optimize endpoint protection technologies and security controls.
  • Perform security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and control validation activities.
  • Monitor endpoint security environments and investigate security events, alerts, and potential threats.
  • Identify security risks and recommend mitigation strategies to improve overall security posture.
  • Support incident response activities related to endpoint security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, standards, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, engineering, operations, and client teams to ensure secure system implementations.
  • Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend enhancements to existing security architectures.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security personnel and cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in strategic security planning and architecture discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security standards, government requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, and security assessments as required.
  • Maintain awareness of current cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and endpoint security trends.


Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, endpoint security, systems security, or related technical disciplines required.
  • Strong experience designing, implementing, and supporting endpoint protection technologies required.
  • Experience with enterprise security architectures, security controls, and risk management principles required.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, security best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience conducting security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and security testing.
  • Knowledge of endpoint detection and response (EDR), antivirus, threat prevention, and endpoint management solutions.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to evaluate complex security issues and develop effective remediation strategies.
  • Experience supporting incident response and security operations activities preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership on complex assignments.
  • Experience developing security documentation, procedures, and standards.
  • Ability to interact effectively with technical teams, leadership, and customers.


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications are preferred.


Work Experience



  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, endpoint protection, information security, systems security, or related fields required.
  • Experience implementing and managing endpoint security technologies required.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level security environments preferred.
  • Experience conducting security assessments, risk analysis, and vulnerability management activities preferred.
  • Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring less experienced security professionals preferred.
  • Experience supporting government, federal, or highly regulated environments preferred.
  • Experience working with integrated security architectures and enterprise security solutions preferred.
