Job Summary: |
This faculty member will practice as a member of multidisciplinary teams at the University of Colorado Sheridan Family Clinic (40%) and King Soopers (40%), with other academic responsibilities (20%) in teaching, scholarship, and service. The faculty member will collaborate to provide clinical pharmacy services with other interprofessional team members. This faculty member will provide exemplary care to patients and families, further develop innovative clinical services for patients and providers, and serve as a practice and training site. Primary clinical responsibilities include developing and providing direct patient care clinical pharmacy services that focus on chronic disease management at the Sheridan Family Clinic and implementing a progressive pharmacy practice model in collaboration with King Soopers. Successful candidates will oversee experiential training programs and precept Doctor of Pharmacy students across all clinical sites, as well as Postgraduate Year One Pharmacy (PGY1) Community-Based Residents at the Dedicated to Aurora Wellness and Needs (DAWN) clinic, an interprofessional, student-run evening clinic. Key Responsibilities:
Serve as an integral member of interdisciplinary community pharmacy and clinic-based teams to support comprehensive medication management. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with pharmacists, providers, clinic staff, and administrators to ensure effective team-based care. Collaborate with pharmacists, providers, clinic staff, care managers, and administration to develop and implement interventions that improve clinical care, advance pharmacy practice, reduce adverse drug events, and optimize medication management, particularly during care transitions and for complex or high-utilizing patients. Provide high-quality teaching in the Doctor of Pharmacy program, including precepting Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE), Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE), and Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) community-based residents; evaluating learner performance; and mentoring and advising students, with opportunities to deliver lectures and facilitate active learning sessions. Produce scholarly work that supports clinical practice and advances pharmacy education by contributing to and engaging in educational activities that promote learner skill development, including peer-reviewed publications and research demonstrating the value of clinical pharmacy services. Participate in professional and institutional service, including university and school committee work, involvement in professional organizations, and continued professional development through seminars, conferences, and other educational activities.

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Applicants must have a PharmD degree Completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency. Candidates must have or be eligible for pharmacist licensure in Colorado. Basic bilingual proficiency in Medical Spanish
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous academic experience and board certification (BCACP) Previous clinical experience in community pharmacy and ambulatory care at an academic medical center Fluent Spanish bilingual skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Practice experience in community pharmacy and ambulatory care. Knowledge of contemporary pharmacy practice in the ambulatory care setting. Teaching and mentoring ability. Interpersonal skills. Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: $126,247 - $137,220 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
